How Great Tasting Water Is Created
We’ve all been there – whether it’s after a tough workout, a full day in the sun, or even just waking up in the middle of the night, you’re longing for a refreshing glass of water. But instead, you turn on the tap and are met with dull, chemical-smelling water. Depending on what city you live in and what time of year it is, this can be a harsh and frequent reality for you.
So, that begs the question: how do we create consistently great tasting water? And can we do it without added sugars, sweeteners, or breaking the budget?
You don’t need artificial flavours or bubbles to produce delicious water for your day-to-day life. With a Santevia water filtration system it’s quite straightforward to make your tap water taste better.
Create Great Tasting Water in Two Steps
Santevia filters make great tasting water in two easy steps: take out the bad and add the good.
The bad components of your tap water include contaminants like chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, and even leftover pharmaceuticals. Santevia takes out these contaminants from your water in the first stage of filtration.
Step 1: Filtration
Step 2: Mineralization
Then, the “add the good” part follows. Santevia filters add beneficial minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium to naturally raise the pH and alkalinity of your drinking water, and improve the taste.
Using a Santevia water filter, your tap water can easily be transformed into delicious and smooth water that’s healthier for you.
How Does a Santevia Filter Work?
When the water enters the filter, it passes through various levels of filtration. The first step is the Granulated Activated Carbon, or GAC.
GAC is a scientifically tested method of reducing certain chemicals from the water. The most common chemical found in your tap water is chlorine. In passing through the layer of GAC, your water will taste and smell significantly better. In fact, the MINA Alkaline Pitcher and Gravity Water System filter 99% of chlorine.
Santevia also uses ion-exchange resin and activated alumina in the filtration stage. These filtration medias work to filter lead, mercury, cadmium and fluoride.
Next, the water will pass through a layer of small mineral balls which will naturally transfer beneficials minerals like calcium and magnesium into the water. Not only do these minerals contribute to replenishing your body’s mineral stores, they also naturally increase the pH of the water. The result is mineralized, alkaline water that gives the water a deliciously smooth taste - similar to a fresh mountain spring.
The Takeaway
Ordinary filters only employ one stage of filtration - leaving your water clean, but they are not optimized for your health nor to taste better.
Santevia water filters are designed to support your health and deliver a great taste.
Santevia’s two step filtration is simple: take out the bad (harmful contaminants) and add the good (essential minerals). After you taste Santevia water, you won’t want to go back to drinking tap water, bottled water, or your old filter. Say hello to health, with a Santevia water filtration system.
